ABOUT ME

Profile Photo.jpg

I began coaching on the side out of my passion for movement, athletics, and teaching. I soon felt compelled to leave engineering to orient my life to help other people move better and enjoy their bodies. I've been coaching for nearly 10 years and have worked with 100's of individuals to improve their lives through movement.

My programs, coaching, and workshops will help you develop strength and athleticism, but a deep relationship with your body and mind. Using various modalities, I create personalized programs that build strength, mobility, and stability for beautiful and fluid movement. You will cultivate awareness and gratitude for your body that leads to a healthy and fulfilling life.

My life and coaching center around my personal mantra—always something to work on, always something to celebrate. Meaning, purpose, and optimal health come a balance between the quest for progress and gratitude for what you have and what you have accomplished.

As a competitive athlete, passionate teacher, and perpetual seeker, I have been exploring movement my whole life—from gymnastics and soccer as a child, to running and triathlons, CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting, skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, rock climbing, and yoga. I love the awareness and fulfillment that comes with new physical challenges. As a coach, I bring this same sense of fun and exploration to your program. I can guide you toward your goals whether you are a high-level athlete seeking to improve in your sport, an advanced mover who wants to hone your gymnastics or handstand prowess, or just beginning your journey.

COACHING PHILOSOPHY

Movement Will Change the World. Humans need to move all the time. We are physical beings and most of the world lives in a way that leaves them hopelessly disconnected from their physical and emotional health. I believe that much of the modern health crisis (and even an aspect of contentious world politics) results from people with a poor understanding of and commitment to their bodies. Our postures, movement patterns, facial expressions, and gestures reflect our internal environment. But, as above so below; this process is also a two-way street. Deepening our relationship with our bodies helps bring health and fulfillment to the psychological, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our lives.
